and then I finally installed and plumbed in the fuel system

and after that decided to install my air tank for the compressor in the spare wheel carrier, as I'm going to slightly change the back, and a spare wheel won't fit under the deck any more then anyways

and best of all, recieved my brand new welder today! inverter welder, 10-200A, arc, mig and tig all in one machine, we did a test run with it, and it weld's so super smooth, I love it! the guy that sold me the welder is a friend of mine, and he hassled his supplier into sending a brand new auto darkening helmet too, so I'm really happy with it!

Nice welder wish the welder I am using was mine unfortunate it's borrowed. Where did you get the air tank from?? I am wanting something similar for my sj. I have plenty of room where the fuel tank normally goes as I am running a plastic boat fuel tank

I picked up this tank at the scrap yard, it is made of two dive tanks welded together, and has a pressure gauge and safety valve on it, with all brass fittings brazed together to prevent leaks

so I've finally put the cab back on the chassis, sealed the footwell and glued new sound deadening in there, used the proper bostik stuff you have to apply with a heatgun, and also put some sound deadening on the back of the cab, and painted it. it's finally getting there, I'll see if I can get some pics of it later

I'd love to know how much of a difference the sound deadening makes, I've always wanted to make my SJ a touch more civil for longer journeys...

seeing mine has a lot of relatively flat sheet metal right behind the seats, it probably makes a lot of difference, and I wanted to cover up my welds, so the transport people can't complain about it when it gets re-registered
one thing to watch out for though is the fact that it can trap water and rot your body out. if you use it, make sure you seal the surface first with lacquer or something similar, so trapped water doesn't do any damage. or use por15 under it if you're feeling rich!
