Collected this today. An eBay purchase, site unseen. Never wise.

Good points:
Chassis Excellent
50k engine excellent
Front end (wings, inner wings etc) all sound
Interior in good condition
Doors excellent

Bad points:
Major rot in the rear boot floor, quarter panels, footwell, inner sills
Lots historical welding present
Jumps out of 4H
Interior soaking wet, so rain getting in

Tomorrow's job will be to strip the interior out, then take some more pics of the rot.

Looks like your is just a 'further-down-the-line' version of mine. The rust is in all of the same places just worse.

Nice little project there.

Rust in all the usual spots. Nothing that can't be sorted with a bit of hard work and welding. Lol.

Good to see another Zuk saved from the scrap man.

Really looking forward to this resto! It's nice to see them kept stock, my LWB is going to be kept pretty much stock, might have a few bolt on reversible mods to protect the bodywork whilst greenlaning though.

Had a good look/prod around today.
It's not as bad as I first thought, but it has had some major bodge jobs done in the past. The outer sills, where they meet the floor underneath are a patchwork of good, solid pigeon shit welding. Both rear wheel arches have had similar repairs. The passenger wheel arch is held to the outer skin by sealant, and the driver's by fibreglass!!!

As a result, I will not be doing it to the high standard needed for a show car, but patching it up to run for a few more years before completing a body off total restoration.

Next major job is to remove the dash to clear the bulkhead grill. It is so blocked, all the rain ends up in the car!!!
