It's not the engine one and it's not my zuk.
Rembering it's december. I'm parked at catterick. 3 gritters have gone past. There is snow on the ground. My mirrors have iced over.
What does that temp gauge say?

Had to turn my head upside down.
Where on earth did it get 15 degrees from? Was that the inside temperature?
Well, I suppose it could be heat from the engine because the were parked.

12 Reg MAN. German "quality". It's the outside temp. Been parked up long enough for the engine to go cold

Most outside air temp. gauges are mounted in behind the front bumper which happens to be directly in front of the radiator. So when you are stationary for a while they will read high due to the warmth from the radiator and when you're driving they tend to read low due to wind chill.
I once had an outside air temp reading of -26*c in my work van a year or two back!!!

Keeps me out of bigger mischief. Get a wide and varied selection of work and get to go to all kinds of weird and wonderful places.
Even done a spot of off roading and green laning with it. Wind farms and railway bridges in fields. Even got diff locks on this one. Lol.
