vitara 1.6 8v bottom end sj413 top end
I know this might seem a bit of a stupid question but does anyone know if i could use a vitara 1.6 8v bottom end and then use 1.3 8v top end of a sj 413. this was just a thought i had whilst in my garage before

Yes but the valves are smaller in the 1.3 head. Also the cam duration is different. you'll get more power with the 1.6 head as well.

Yea it works i've done it in mine as the vit engine had a suspect pourous head. Had to do a mix and matvh on pulleys to get belts lined up.
if in doubt, FLAT OUT!
