im looking at doing the "rears up front" lift
so ive priced it up:
rascal rear springs £178
missing link shackles: £105
extended brake hoses: £40
what else do i need?
will this mod effect my steering at all?
and do i need to remove the thicker flat leaf on the sj rear spring when i fit it up front...

You don't need the missing links if you just make some simple relocation brackets for the front chassis spring hangers, like my YJ conversion.
And yes remove the Flat leaf from the rear pack.
Steering will be fine.
Where are you getting the rascal springs from?

Ill have a look, there's a guy who breaks and sells parts for rascals just up the road from me.
The relocation bracket will be different to mine but similar, give me a few days and ill draw something up for you

Also I would recommend adding the longest leaf (without bush eyes) intot he rear pack to up the spring rate a bit.

To get the best results yes
I would fit the springs then flex it up with no shocks fitted and do some measuring between the mounts to get the open and closed lengths.

looking at doing this now cause it should make my suspension softer hopefully...
do i need to make relocation brackets for the rear springs? or will extended shackles work for them?
im guessing the rear springs that will go on the front just bolt into the chassis mount as normal and just move the shackle mount?
and rascal rears just bolt in on extended shackles?
what pro comp shocks are softest?
ES1000
ES3000
ES9000
thanks...
