time to do a little bit more work on the old girl (not the missus)

alternator belt
investigate spot light wiring
tighten up wheel bearing
general once over

also thinking of building a partition similar to Scotties (behind the front seats), as random stuff keeps going under the seats!

thinkin of making it outta ply so it can be returned to original if need be.

so facing the back i want some small storage nets and maybe a light, then facing the front maybe a couple more storage nets for maps/ cider  and maybe some small speakers.

just gotta figure how im gonna mount it all in place.

has anyone got any ideas? ideally without welding so it can be kept as stock if need be

cheers

steve

Sounds like a nice little bit of "pottering on". As said i have a gear box n transfer box to fit.

Also have a mystery electric earth/shorting out issue. But it went through MOT with it so it can wait.

Hope you get everything sorted. Think i might be to inebriated and will have to get the wife to take me to work on monday.

Jordi

Steve is yours a soft top? if so then there are a few points that you could bolt the top too where the back hoop bolts on possibly using some steel angle etc. then screw it to the floor in the same way?

I think I might spend Saturday in the workshop tinkering, gotta finish my switch panel for my ARB compressor and locker switches, it's going in the ashtray hole. Might also finish stripping the LJ80 down :brows:

Yeah I know I should, just so little time & even less funds! I'm hoping when I get the cash injection from my claim i'll just throw some money at it & get it welded up and restored to some extent, I'm not bothered about any more mods, just getting it to a standard would be good, everytime I look at it I cry a little on the inside, it just seems to get a bigger & bigger project!

You should buy a welder when you can afford it and do it your self ;) I'm sure you'd pick it up quickly enough!
