Priced up some parts today

Wanted to change the timing belt and some top end seals to cure an oil leak

Top end set £32, timing belt kit £30. Something like that anyway so about £62 plus vat = £74.40

Adds up a bit doesn't it. I could save money maybe, by not having the full top end gasket set but I don't really know exactly what's leaking until I strip it down. At the least il need a rocker cover seal but there's others that probably could do with replacing

Think it's worth the money?

i'd deffo strip it down first mate, that way you know exactly what you need.

what make are the parts? i'd highly recommend gates or blue print for the timing belt and as for the gasket, i tend to use reinz or payen.

you may spend a little more, but you get what you pay for.

Probably need whole top end gasket set anyway. If u strip it any further than the rocker cover you will need head gasket and intake n exhaust manifold.

Make sure the set comes with distributor o-ring. Mine didnt.
