i have done an upgrade on my body ground to the battery and was suprised at the difference it made, i got rid of the small mostly broken wire that was there and replaced it with battery cable..
it really does make a difference, all of the interior lights were alot brighter and my radio seemed to work better too.
i found that the clutch cable bolts were a good ground point as it was think steel there and a short distance from the battery, so i bolted it to that using the existing bolt.
small rusted wire compared to new battey cable..

Can you show me the new earth point? I've got earthing problems too. I experimented with a spare bit of cable on the headlights and a bigger earth wire made them brighter.

make sure you remove the clutch cable mount and clean the metal and everything and use battery cable works great mate huge difference...

An easy way to find bad connections, poor earths, high resistance circuits is a simple. Volt drop test
All you need is a volt meter or multimeter set to volts DC
It's easy because you connect the meter in parallel with the circuit and can test for faults in the +ve & -ve side of the circuit
Connect one lead to B- and the other to chassis ground. You are making a second path or the current to flow, since electricity always follows the path of least resistance there should be 0 reading on the meter as it should all be going down the original earth lead
If you have a voltage reading then the earth is poor because the voltage is finding its way down through your meter instead of the proper earth wire.
Works +ve to +ve as well like checking power to a component.
Always remember that the best earth on the car is the battery -ve post.
