Going to start my tin top build friday night and going to try to put her back on the road atm she is fully standered with alloy wheels . Does anyone know why my engin does tick over you have to have acceloretro down or choke on !! Help thanks (pics to come friday)

Do you mean your engine doesn't tick over?

Does it stall without the choke?

could be plugs/points/timing/dizzy cap/HT leads/plugs/air leak/mixture screw on carb

or maybe it just needs the throttle cable adjusted at the carb

have you adjusted the choke on the carb with a flat screwdriver that might be the reason or not

1.3 with standerd carb but going to clean it up but would be great to get the engin working i dont know how to egust the choke carb thing could you explain please

Eesh standard carb... its probably shot... the chokes break and get jammed really easily on the standard aisin carbs

Might be worth taking the choke plate out and seeing how it runs... if you take the chamber off the top of the carb you can see the choke plate at the top. there should be 2 screws holding it on.

If you undo them though, for the love of god don't drop them down into the carb!!!
