Japfest 2 is coming to Donnington Park

Post by Edweird » Tue May 15, 2012 3:18 pm

May or may not interest some of you. Sounds like good fun. It's not that expensive to get in and apparently there's going to be some 'drift taxis' and 'track taxis' going around giving people free laps. It's £18 to get in on the day, or £15 in advance. On top of that you can take your own car around the circuit.

I'm interested to say the least, but it's 90 miles away, so I doubt I'll be going around in my truck. If anyone's interested:

There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I was up Japfest on Saturday aswell. I had my Type r on the Honda's on Track club stand.

I dont think they will be free drift and track taxis though. Its usually about £30 for a 15min track session in your own car, and sometimes they even charge you to be a passenger in your friends car.

Should be a good day though. I think my mates drift team will be up there doing a bit of a display.

Was it your friends in the pink cars by any chance Trotter? Karis was telling me her mate (who's got an integration type R) at work was saying he's mates with one of them and he stacked it in the afternoon! Ouch! We had gone by then though, if I'd known you were there I would've popped by and said hello!

My mate was drifting in a yellow r34 skyline, but the guy that binned the pink rx7 was also in my year at school.

This was taken before he hit the tyre wall.
