hi all,

just read the 5 speed conversion sticky thread,

what id like to know is, how long is the 5 speed box measured from the face of the bell housing to the drive flange and how long is the 4 speed (but i can measure that my self)

im wanting to put a 5 speed box behing an f10a motor, i can fix the input shaft length to suit the different spigoit bearing but i dont want to be moving the engine forwards or back.

will the 5 speed bolt up to the bell housing of the f10a and onto the old 4 speed gear box mount?

cheers for any help.

If you want to put a 5 speed box in a 4 speed 410, you need a gearbox from a spanish santana 410 as those have the 5 speed boxes that'll mate up to the F10A. The G13 engines use a different gearbox.

Surely all the NZ trucks are jap and not spanish. You might have fun trying to find one.

your right, but here in nz there alot of imports from all over. looking at it all however, might be easier to do the 1600 and sj413 5 speed conversion sooner rather than later. ill wait till i drop on a cheap engine first.
