gearbox noises part 2

Morning All, we have had about two inches of snow in Reading, it stopped in the night.
I am now up and running, as per my last post, but I'm still not convinced i have ironed out all the issues, and need some advice.
Im still not happy with the noises coming from the gearbox. i am on a replacement box bought untested from ebay, and the noise it makes is a bit loud, and sounds whiney, like the main bearings are shot.
To put this in perspective, its like a high pitched whine, which means that you just don't want to go one about 45 in top, as it sounds like its going to break, is this normal, or is mine shot?
I have filled it full of new ep90 oil, and thrown a tube of stp whine reduction gue in there. so my second question is, if the answers come back that generally it is knackered, is there anybody on here who could take it apart and inspect, check, replace, recondition it? and what would this cost?
When i had some previous tbox issues i spoke to rock watt, does he do gearboxes as well?
Thanks in advance, Tim
