hi there i have a vitara and i want to put a diesel engine in it what would be a sutable engine any ideas cheers stephen

the easiest would be a pug 1.9tdi, they used to sell conversion kits on ebay with a new bellhousing for the gearbox, or there is the VW 1.9tdi.

If you can find a commercial vitara they came with a derv from the factory with a pug engine and the different bellhousing.
