sammy axles on 410

is it possible to put samurai axles on a 410? if so what work is involved?
in my mind, it's just cut the spring perches off the axles, then weld new ones in, just slightly narrower so they line up with the 410 spring mounts.
am i right or have i got it completely wrong, and does anyone else have this setup?
cheers, nathan

yeah i know they're a bit wider, would be ideal for me to make it a bit more "stable" as it's my daily.
im sure i read a post before from scott with the measurements etc but for the life of me i can't find it!

This thread you mean?

It's pretty much just a case of carefully cutting the old perches off and moving them in to match the 410 spring width.
Remember to keep the perches at the same angle they were originally so that you don't mess up your driveshaft angles or caster angle.

No that's illegal. The law clearly states that suzuki SJ's must be fixed/modified as soon as possible..

To make sure you get the angles right do one at a time. Clamp a straight edge to the original one and a straight edge to the one you have cut off. Eye up the two edges and get them in line and the angles will be correct. Then use the "new" one to align the "old" one after you have cut it off
