What a night (broken down)

So tonight has been pretty random, started of going to the pub for 1 pint, then had another few pubs in the village, then a 20 mile round trip pub crawl (in the sj) Second to last pub, well on our way now, drive out in the Suzuki, seems to bog down, picks up, bogs down again and cuts out!

Checked fuel etc, no lights on dash but head lights etc still working?

Made the decision, fu*k it, its only a mile or some back home... started pushing!

So any suggestions whats gone wrong, i thought thin wire from + terminal might have come undone on the spade but all looks ok?

The headlight power supply comes direct from the battery but the ignition circuit goes via the key switch. Best to check for 12v at the coil and then work back from there (assuming it has no power).
Does the heater fan and wipers still go ?
Here's the basic circuit

as Darrell said, it sounds like your ignition switch, whip it off and check for continuity through it in all the different positions

Try unplugging the switch and hot wiring it from that....

At least you will be able to move it that way :)

May be worth throwing a length of cable with a inline fuse in the glovebox. If it lets you down you could just connect from the coil to the battery to get you home (this should also feed the carb solenoid). Having said that my wire to solenoid broke off but it didn't stop :S . Worn out like the rest of my carb I guess...
