They work well but it depends on what you are trying to make with it and how fussy you are. I am very fussy, that's why I was happy i got to use a jd2 bender when my cage was bent. The bends are so nice and even. This type of bender does crush tube when you bend it. I have built a few cages using a very similar bender. You may find them cheaper at machine mart

I have one of these benders, theyre not bad. if you want to bend big stuff like cages etc then you need to pack the tubes with sand, gaffa tape the ends up then bend, other thing i found was that the formers work better if you clean the castings up so that they actuallty fit the tubing better. hope this helps

Im using one on my cage. Had to put a sleeve in on of there former so it was tight around the steel tho!

I found some pics on a post (Newby alert-Oct 2010) That's a very nice cage :thumbup:
