the world quickest standard sj

Post by mayhemmiller » Tue Aug 16, 2011 9:17 pm

for those that have been reading some of my previous post then you will know that i believe that the police in france are really good and i've had no real problems with them even taking some of them off roading
how ever today i met 2 that shattered that image in my mind

(Que the wavy flash back effect )

i was driving my flat mate to the airport in the sj when i got pulled over by two :tosser: sorry i meant police they then informed me i was doing 140/kph in a 110/kph (140=87mph 110=68mph) once i stopped laughing with the help of my flat mate who is flaunt in french i tryed to explain to he :tosser: that my top speed is 110 he wasn't buying it this went on for about 10 minutes as it said on the screen 140 that's what i must have been doing so i let him have a drive and told him if he could get it up to 120 i would pay double the fine he tryed really hard and failed he couldn't believe i had no 5th gear :hahaha:

(wavy back to real time)

should have made him give me money when he couldn't
i wish i could get it up to 140/kph
awaiting the next adventure

Ah bless them they were probably focused on another car rather than yours,

I've never seen 87mph but it is supposed to be possible with the 1.6 votara engine, I once got 80mph in my Sammy when it was standard, it was a long down hill straight with the wind behind me! I thought the SJ was going to roll because the steering was so twitchy

I've done 85 in my current Sammy on the motorway... my old Samurai, with the 1.3 engine, got it up to 100 (indicated) down a giant hill...

I was well over the top of the speedo, and my mate was pulling away from me in his 413... think he must have got an extra 5mph out of his lol

I've said it a few times, I've had 75mph on my gauge, which is probably about 70 - 72 in real terms. Thrashing the metallic balls off of it, but I got there.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
