Its a good idea, just very poorly executed.
Mainly because it's really badly coded, breaks a lot, and munches your system resources.
Google have some of the best programmers in the world working for them, I don't see how they could do worse that facebook!

... and I won't say that the world doesn't need a new facebook...

because the world does need a social network of some kind!!!
