Calmini suspension too stiff

Hi all,
I have a 5" calmini lift fitted on my sj. And tbh it is very very stiff, my sj bounces alot when trying to climb hills etc and struggles alot more than other sj's due to it.
Is there a way I can make it be a bit softer?
( silly question I expect ) Would it break if I removed a leaf from each spring?
I am tempted to get different springs altogether tbh, but it seems a shame to waste such a bit of kit.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Hi,

I've spoken to calmini steve from difflock who has this kit fitted. You might want to check that your bolts are not over tight.
Apparently if you do the shackles bolts, etc, up too tight it makes it a lot stiffer than it actually should be

ok thanks I will check this out. Could it be anything else?
Also is there a torque setting for them or should I just nip them up?

You could try putting UHMWPE tape between the leafs.

I'd say just nip them up. I assume you have nylock bolts holding it all together?
If you do, as long as the nylock is at least a few threads on you should be fine.

Just remember to check it again in a few days of driving to make sure they are still good :)
