He's probably trying to stick to regulations because he is new. Give him a little time and patience and he might come around.

I hate conifers, they are the worst trees to take down!

I take it you a are a tree surgeon then? I did my first few tickets last year (maintainance, cross-cutting and felling) and will be trying to get into the industry later in the year when my missus finds herself a job, We might end up halfway across the country so I dont want to get a new job now and have to quit again in a few months  but I do a bit at weekends and in my spare time still!

The new boss sounds like a bit of a :tosser: I'm sure he'll realise that he doesnt have to be such a dick soon though

Ah my neck of the woods.... good lanes, good hiils, loads of p&p.

Id start calling your boss tommy, and if he asks why, tell him its because he is acting like a tommy tooler!

i'm a estate maintenance technician looking after a 35 acre children's activity centre

so tree work is one part of my role and your right conifers are the worst things ever to prune and cut down :chainsaw2:

had a good chat with the boss today and i think he's starting to see things my way

Im jealous. Its not the chainsaws or the danger. Not even the fact your boss may be coming round to your way of thinking.

Its having a job you can use the sj for. Mine drives to work. Sits for a week or so then drives home.

it's pretty good looking at getting a small (ish) trailer for it to carry tools in so i can keep the back clear and seats up and will also be able to use it when i go shoping with 4 of us in the tonka
