Free wheel hubs click when turning

My free wheel hubs click when turning in 4wd, they dont do it when in 2wd. I am guessing it is because they need to be stripped down and cleaned. Which I am planning on doing this week.
But, has anyone here had this problem? And if so, how did you fix it? Could it be a half shaft that is broke?

i had that. strip down and clean. best option.

Are you sure its the hubs? Could be that a CV joint is on its way out.

Not sure, I guess I'll try the hubs first and go from there. I have enough spares if something is wrong though.
