I have new weber carb plus associated bits to fit to my 1.3 samurai and it will need mot in 4 months time. I have a feeling it will fail emissions with the standard carb i have on it at the moment. Will the weber improve emissions? I know the aisin carb can be troublesome though my engine runs fine at the moment(plugs are a little black though).

a well tuned weber should improve the emissions over a disfunctional aisin carb....

The blackened plugs caused by rich mixture could show the choke is on slightly?
the choke is the main problem with the aisin carb anyway

dont know anything about aisan carbs. My 410 had manual choke. The sammy I have now I assume has auto choke that I think isnt working right as it is slow to start from cold

yeah it has a thermowax autochoke... basically horrible.
It's possible in that case that the choke may be stuck in a slightly open position?
Normally running rich and having a choke would make it start super easily in the cold...

If the choke is stuck at 3/4 open for example, there won't be enough choke to start, and too much choke to run perfectly...

Just buy a generic choke cable, and a little clamp to go on the end of the cable.
That's all you should need for the choke...
