About a fortnight ago (sorry for delayed post) we saw a fire engine going down the road early (5am). Dave shot down suspecting someone had been through the hedge ect ect only to find the road flooding fast.

We had to get a workman in to milk the cows, while we moved the sheep to higher ground. On the other side of the river 300 sheep drouned as they had no where to go. The floods where caused by Bala opening the gates their end, sadly it all broke out by us!

At its peak it was about 1ft higher, but that only lasted a few hours. It has ripped the road up, pushed gates over and ripped fences down... On the plus side loads of drift wood :)

No, they where the neighboring farm. All the sheep come from the deep north wales from the winter. They where on the race course, and that gets flooded first. All the jumps fences ect have gone from the race course along with the sheep. Estimated 50 grand worth of damage of sheep and god knows how much for the hedges ect.
