Don't worry, these this are deathly simple compared to modern cars. I know MK2 Astras pretty well, and these are much easier.

Only thing I was unsure about, that I've done, is bodywork, as I've had no prior experience or practise, but that worked out okay, though I've not done much to mine. I've yet to jack the SJ up for anything yet, because it's high enough to get underneath without. Try changing a VXR's oil without a trolley or 4 post lift.

cant even get a drip tray underneath one of them! then youve got the oil filter to deal with too lol
yeh its not working on the sj itself its knowing what mods work well for offroading and the best and most reliable way to go about it etc.

:welcome: to scuk matey :smokin: that's a nice looking sj you've got. What colour is it

Yeah sj mechanics are about as basic as it gets and it looks like your going in the right direction with it for a reliable and capable sj.

What's the spec at the moment?

Scott

welcome to the site, I think you made the right choice SJ's are more fun (and loads cheaper) than VXR's

from what ive seen on here everyone would be better than alot of kwik fit fitters!
spec as is : Suzuki SJ413 samurai
its graphite metallic colour with a blend of mud and a racing dent on the boot (adds 5hp) :)
33/13.5xr15 tyres and spacers all round
2inch body lift, poly urethane bushes all round, uprated shocks not sure what make and lift springs
rear disc conversion with heavy duty wheel bearings, extended brake lines
1.6 8v vitara engine with 5speed box and a 410 transfer box, power steering fitted also a 5 plate paddle clutch
cobra buckets fitted to sj rails
55w spots wired to a dash switch

   I wouldn't let any kwikfitters near my truck

Sounds like your pretty much there before you start breaking things on a regular basis and will be able to go places bigger 4x4s on 35s can't

Apart from your list of stuff you want the only thing I would suggest is a rocklobster transfer box to drop the low box and sort out the gear ratios.
Rockwatt in the traders section is these guy you want to talk to about that he builds them for a good price and his work is to top quality. All you need to do is send him a 410 and 413 tbox.

Are you going for an internal or external cage?
