Popped one day...
Stuck in 2wd on a winch section with no winch....
Oh the joys of getting myself out of that situation....
Some body damage.... cage damage.... head damage... arm damage .... ground damage...

sounds like fun henry, there's hardly anything to go wrong with FWHs sounds like they need a strip down and clean if they are not engaging!

Oh i dont know scott, she broke with a bang!
Im hoping the internals have just smashed (since they are plastic) and i hope they would go before a shaft.
Still got to investigate!

CV joint maybe?????? they are pretty darn weak on SJs
if you've got aisin hubs then they are all metal inside
i've never known a free wheeling hub with plastic internals? sounds a bit weak to me

I have the unbranded ones, that are usually found on vitaras, and they are plastic internals.
Still drives fine in 2wd, with no nasty grinds ect from the front. I havent had chance to do anything to it yet! :( but i carnt get the one hub to unlock, so im pretty sure it is this.
got the roll cage off to sort that out
Got a manic weekend too, and evenings are out of the question this week!
2 18th this weekend so sunday looks out the question too!
