fixed to broke in 3 miles

The other day i fitted my fixed rear prop and was a happy little 4x4'r........drove to work and all was fine bar a little clunk on pulling away. On the way home ,going down wick hill i had a bit of kick back from the break pedal on breaking, so when i arrived home had a lil ivestigation .......Image :cry:

then i looked over to my left.....Image :roll: :roll: :roll:
its a good thing i love my lil brum! :P :lol: :P

most people mange to break their sj's ragging them off road! did you manage to hole a brake seal?


don't all sj's leak from the front cv housing? your is just a little wetter than most!

cv housing never used to leak and i haven't looked in the drum yet as I'm a tad busy with decorating/gutting my house...hope to take a gander this sunday...need to fix it before the cold weather sets in.....just cash is tighter than a nuns at the mo..... :P

how's thing anywho.....all good i hope 8-)

the front is just the inner oil seal, easy to fix and nice and cheap :mrgreen: is it oil or brake fluid on the rear??? if it's oil its most likely the bearing has failed causing the oil seal to fail, new bearing kit time me thinks :mrgreen: you should be able to fix it all for under £50 :mrgreen:

after more than a few whacks with the old hard rubber mallet the drum casing finally loosened.....

the wife phoned the dude for my parts i need (as she has time to spare :P ) asked for the seal on the front but he knew not of wat she were on about.?? just to be clear it is called.... inner oil seal.
