Rear crankshaft oil seal leak

Hi there all,

i have a 1988 E-reg SJ413 finally running ok after a strip down and re-build of the factory carb and head and replacement of all the gaskets on the head including valve stem oil seals. This really made a world of difference, and reliability/running has improved buckets.
However i stopped at the block and there has continued to be an oil leak from here after replacing the head. Turns out the evidence points to it being mainly from the rear crankshaft oil seal, loads of mess around this area and i have so far (more or less 2000 miles) put up with continually topping up the oil.
On the drive to work this morning (after about 30 mins normal running) accelerated up through the gears to about 30mph in 3rd where it couldnt get much faster but with engine speed increasing. Tried changing gears etc, pulled over to have a look over and "give it a rest" but the problem continued. I ended up calling the AA man thinking id have to get towed but managed to limp home and reach about 45mph tops with him following behind. So the diagnosis was oil leaking onto the clutch causing it to slip, the closest thing i could describe the ride to was like driving with the handbrake on but being able to pull reasonably OK from 1st. This was backed up by the smell coming from the engine when id first pulled over.

Basically i thought this might be an interesting problem - i wondered if anyone had had anything like this happen to them or any suggestions as to anything completely different that could cause this??
Also the plan now is to get the gearbox off and replace the oil seal, check out the clutch and replace if neccessary.

Could anyone point me to where i can find a new REAR crankshaft oil seal as my Local suzuki garage quoted £26 for this little piece of rubber ring!

Sorry about that being a bit of a long one, just trying to figure out whats up before i start taking things to bits again!!!
