suzuki swift gti 1.3 twin cam

hi guys

i was thinking to swap my 410 engine with suzuki swift twin cam 1.3 engine.. how easy it is? does the gear box staright fix?...

Hi fella I've done the conversion it's relatively easy you'll need a 413 box tho

problems were making the throttle cable off the swift fit the pedal on the sj, but cutting and welding fixed that. i cut the top of the swift throttle pedal and tacked it on to the sj pedal worked a treat till tack broke then i did a proper weld on it.

also had trouble with the dizzy cap, i found the right dizzy cap (mazda 323 1.6turbo) then carfuly drilled out the main electrode, after drilling the first cap to much and drilling right through it, then put the springy electrode from the orignal sj dizzy in the drilled hole. hepls if you fit the dizzy cap to the engine before you fitt it too other wise you have to take the engine back out to fit it, as i found out after fitting it, i did suffer with the rubber shroud on the king lead rubbing through on the bulk head and causing the sj not to run or start. this was most annoying to me when in the hull of a ferry on the way to holland. but that was fixed next time i took out the engine with a big hammer in the bulk head to give the dizzy cap enough space.
next problem was the thermostat housing on the back on the engin like the dizzy cap that goes straight back out of the engine, fixed that with a trip to the local scrap yard wher i found a swift 1.0 thermostat outlet which was at 90degrees worked a treat.
thats about it i think
