Had a manifold, off a SJ413 / Samurai, adapted to accept a SU HIF44 carb. This was done by Rockwatt Engineering.

The SU carb I am planning to have reconditioned and fit.
Am using Carb Exchange at Leighton Buzzard for the reconditioning work. Have used them in the past with excellent results. Drawback is 9 week time period. They must have a long Xmas & New Year!!

Is that a HIF38? You need the HIF44 for a 1.3/1.6

Shouldn’t be hard for you to sell the 38, they are good on the Sj410 F10a engine 👍

hi all, I realise I am rather late to this but wonder if anyone has a larger image or drawing of the brackets needed to install the Hif 38 to the SJ410(or rather tha cables as part of the installation)? Would happily buy the kit but i think they sold out years ago. Thanks a lot.

Sorry slightly confused by your question. Are you looking for the angled bracket that fits the SU to the manifold or accelerator and choke cables.
If the latter go to MiniSpares. Thay have exploded views of parts you can download.

Tomcat, the SU carb swap on an F10 engine is very different to a G13/G16 engine.

You can just open up mounting holes and do some mild porting to port match the intake manifold and then bolt the HIF38 straight on, no need for an adapter. The brackets are quite simple to make but SUcarb.co.uk might sell one that you can just fit for the 38.

Did some research and found a posting on Youtube shows the arrangement.
