pointless rollcage

I've been made to make two inner roll bars out of 2" seamed mild steal 1.2mm wall...unknown what its going in but anything bigger than a gocart and I really can't see the point....plus I have to heat bend it which will soften the weakest poins.....makes no sense to me!

One question though? Didnt you heat bend your cage?

yer right there scottie...but mine 40x3.2(ish) with 3mm gussets for added strength. but I havnt rolled mine yet so its still untested!

the one im just doing is 45mm ish od-4mm wall do you think that is strong enought

nah tony i think that'll be as strong as a drainpipe rollcage, you'll be better off with scaff tube

i'm sure it'll be stong enough in a roll over 4eye, you best get out and test it to make sure
