hello.
i have a rather tired SJ413 and believe the head gasket has gone.
very down on power and alot of White smoke from exhaust.
another reason why its down on power is i submerged the engine bay... aperently water got into the 'bellhousing' but it stayed running the entire time it was submerged.
i have the head gasket set and i was woundering how easy it would be to do myself.
To give you an idea of my mechanical capabilities, my skills stretch to simple maintence on my motorbikes to once replacing a cam cover and shims on an old suzuki bike.
not sure what specialist tools i will need. and Reliable information source to referre to.
apologies again as this is my First post.
thanks for any help info.
head gasket SJ413... how easy???

Re: head gasket SJ413... how easy???
i have indeed.
HOWEVER i had a quick look and through process of elimination have noticed that i have fooked the clutch also....
and considering i bought it cheap it suddenly got very expesnive..... short answaer... i think my anus is dead.
but i have a plan. i had previously brought ANOTHER SJ and its still floating about.... guy is getting rid off it and has taken a fancy to my cheap runner ( r reg polo) for his missus.. i think i swap with happen, thus leaving me with a standard ROAD WORTHY sj and an off road dead one.....
im selling a head gasket set :p
and will prolly break it for spares. will keep you informed.
thanks for your comment.
