I dont wana P on your parade, but will it be going on the road? 17yr old + GTI = £££££££££ add the fact that its a GTI going into a different vehicle, what they will charge you they should pull your trousers up after!!
I wont go into the offorading aspect as you probably know!
Rhino Ray does a 'dizzy mod' for fitting a suzuki swift GTI engine, show enough interest and he may go through some of the other things to overcome when fitting the engine!

Yeah they should be fine! Suzuki Gearboxes and Tboxes are suprisingly strong!
As for a 17 yr old insuring a GTI powered SJ, no offence mate but your either gonna have to be loaded or just be a little loopy!
lets just say i was 23 when i passed my test and 3rd party fire and theft on a 410 with 2" lift, a roll cage and 31s was £860!

id say. Insurance on that would be silly money.
