Niggling problem, hope someone can help. I have 2017 Jimny, M13 engine. Engine has started to hesitate when I touch the throttle. Sometimes stalls when pulling away. Throttle cable not slack.
There is a very faint, sharp clicking sound from the throttle body area when I blip the throtlle manually. Engine hesitates and will stall unless I speed it up. The faint clicking is random, and sounds a bit like a spark jumping a gap. There is no backfire. Apart from the hesitation, the engine runs smoothly.
I have had the ignition system cover off and there are no obvious shorts. Code reader shows no fault codes. With cover off, the sound definitely seems to come from the throttle body area. I'm baffled.
Suggestions appreciated!
