Engine wont start

I have a 2004 ,2.0 litre diesel vitara, t drove home fine , but went to start it today and it is just turning over fine but not fireing. Fuel pump runs for 3 seconds and seems to be priming up ok. Any one any ideas what i should check? Thanks

Are there any lights flashing on the dash while trying to start.

The 2.0d GVs have been known to have immobiliser issues causing them to not start.
