Hi all and thanks for accepting me on the Forum. I've recently bought a 2003 Grand Vitara 1.6 16v. My mum and dad used to do a lot of off-roading when I was a kid and the each had their own Suzuki's, dad had an SJ with body lift, spring over axle, 1.5TD Isuzu engine sitting on 31" tyres, mum had a more sedate LWB Vitara with a 3" body lift to take me and my sisters out in, I guess I caught the bug and now have my very own un-modified Vitara!
I've had a little "play" off tarmac a couple of weeks ago and loved it, so will be looking to make modifications in the future when I can afford it and take a "holiday" back home so Dad can do them for me as I am clueless when it comes to car maintenance but being a chef can beat him hands down in the kitchen department!

I have a dilemma now, noticed an oil leak today, took it to a local MOT station, only place open that I could find. They stuck it up on the ramp and think the sump has rusted through and is leaking from it. They also say it would be too big of a job for them and would need to go to a Suzuki specialist. I've spoken to the old man and he reckons it's a load of old bollox although to change the sump is not a simple 5 minute job! He told me to join a Suzuki Forum as there must be someone that knows someone else up in the lakes that knows there stuff and could possibly help me out!
So can anyone help me out by recommending someone in Carlisle or Keswick or anywhere in between? Thanks Frank

Welcome to the forum 👍 I've never took a job on like that but lots of the people on here have you've come to the right place. Some cracking pics you've put up
