2007 Swift Overheating at Higher Speeds

Post by Nigel1950 » Thu Sep 03, 2020 10:18 pm

I have a 2007 1.3 Swift with 48k mileage. The car has never been abused and is well serviced. It began overheating at higher speeds for example 60 mph up tp 70mph. I took it to my local garage and the thermostat and water pump were renewed. It still overheats, there are no obvious signs of head gasket failure. The car will run all day at 50mph with no signs of overheating. The things I have noticed is that the electric fan runs most of the time when the engine reaches working temperature and there seems a lot of pressure on the top radiator hose, but not enough pressure to begin over flowing into the expansion tank. The heater hen selected is very hot. I am baffled along with the garage mechanic. I would be very pleased for some advice thank you.
