Hi everyone

I've searched and could not find any reference to this on the forum so apologies if it has already been answered elsewhere.

We have a 2005 2.0 Grand Vitara 4 door and we have no tail lights on either side.

I've checked the bulbs and even though they were fine I replaced them anyway.
We have interior and dashboard lights so it's not the primary fuse.
I've checked the 10A fuse under the dash and it is also fine.

So I'm down to wiring issue.

Anyone had a similar issue, is there a set of connectors I need to clean.

Sorry don’t know about plugs, but I would check the earths, and have a good look at the harness from the lights forward For any signs of damage

Thanks, I'll take a look. there does appear to be a couple of curd caked plugs under the rear bumper.

Solved- because I know you wanna know.
So this turned out to be a faulty connector from the main loom down to the rear lights sub loom.

There was power in the cables when you test it inside the wheel jack recess. but not at the lighting mounts.

testing does require that you make tiny cuts in the wire sleeve to get at the conductors but you have little choice.

Rather that mess with the connector it was easier to splice the cables and run a new wire from inside the light mount and up into the body via the loom access point.
