This is a North Eastern event held at Rausch Creek in Pennsylvania. It's a 6,000 acre site which is about 1.5 times the size of Canvey Island in Essex near where I used to live.
There had been some recent heavy rain which turned just the connecting trails into some extreme obstacles.
This is my favorite trail Rock Creek which is a "stone river" of glacial screed pebbles

Rock Creek always guarantees breakages.
The jouncing caused the remote resevoir mount plates to hit the fuel feed to the carb on the LJ which ended the run only 1/4 of the way in. (Just a few hundred feet)
Still, could have been worse and he had to be dragged out of the site for over a mile... by a "anus" buggy with no anus parts.

After about 5 hours if crawling it was time to head back for the bbq not before finishing off at the comp course for some posey shots
Even had time to test the suspension on their RTI ramp

During the bbq we had a raffle.....
Time to check out my booty....
Later that night I found this on my other bootie
The little bits of silver are drops of solder from the ignition due to overloading it from starting it on the trail in gear.
This spare boot was not being left loose outside in the truck bed so it came inside with me. Too tired for any other rubber products in the room.

GonZookin is held on the first weekend of August every year.
Rausch Creek is about 3 hours drive West from New York City
So...
Anyone visiting Manhattan and wanting to get away from the wife's mindless shopping trips can....
1) Rent a car early Saturday morning which is easy due to jet lag and get to Ruasch Creek in time for the 10am start.
2) Passenger yanks in their zuks all day (they'll let you drive their stuff)
3) Attend the bbq & raffle
4) Get drunk around the camp
5) Sleep it off in someone's tent or nearby motel
and
Still be back in NYC Sunday morning to return the car within the 24 hour rental period.
