Dear All

Can anyone recommend good option for insurance for Suzuki SJ.

I have a standard SJ413K, but my insurance company has changed it's outlook on things and pricing has gone a bit silly. I am getting on a bit with 11 years no claims and this is a 3rd car so shouldn't be deemed high risk.

Any good experiences with suppliers please share.

best regards

Richard

I always have used Direct line and never had any problems with them, possibly could get the price down a little, albeit i dont currently have a Suzuki insured with them but i do have my BMW X5 fully comp and including top green flag offering for £500 all in.Which if i am honest i am well happy with

If your SJ is over 25 yrs old it would clasify as a classic, meaning you can get some great low rates especially if you just use it occasionally and for S, D & P only.

I've used Grove & Dean for 4 years now and at renewal time I head over to moneysupermarket.com to make sure their renewal premium is still cheapest.

It always is so I stick with them, I've also found their telephone people excellent also ;)

Adrian Flux. The LJ is a classic and fully comp with all mods and off road insurance too was £150.

I had a very 'shirty' phone call with someone from Adrian Flux, put me right off, of course YMMV.

Yeah, I've heard quite a few people say that they've had bad experiences with staff at Adrian Flux, but I was with them for a few years and they were dead nice to me.

I think it's like any company - get the wrong person on the wrong day...

I know I’ve said it before, but here goes... I wouldn’t go anywhere near flux
Someone clipped the SJ tyre whilst it was parked and claimed we did loads of damage to his van. Was all sorted in less than a month, went down as no fault for the SJ, but took flux nearly two years to remove it as a fault against the wife.

I’ve never had a bad experience with flux, but I’ve never had a claim either so couldn’t say what they are like in that case.

They did once try to randomly put the price up on a renewal by quite a big margin once but a phone call to them soon sorted that out.

Never had an issue with Adrian Flux, two motors insured on policies tailored to my needs.

Dear All, thanks for the suggestions. Went with Grove & Dean in the end seemed pretty reasonable. Thanks again.
