Hi all, has anyone done the rear crank oil seal on the 1.9 ddis. Ive read that there it some gunk to be placed between the crank end cap and the block to make a better more permanent seal. Unfortunately thats all the info i got, can anyone shed some light on this or explain the job better please. thankyou.

The appears to be issues as regarding sealing the crankshaft bearing cap 1. Suzuki in there wisdom decided to use 2 rubber strips that don't seem to do the job properly. Mitsubishi use sealant and hardener, but I can't find references for the hardener or syringe used. I've put together what Ive found .........

I'm really not sure. I would try posting it on here
http://www.suzuki-forums.com/index.php? ... ive_topics as it has a wider audience. No disrespect for Suzukiclubuk but here we mostly deal with older SJ's and Vits

RTV sealant would do the job, although mine is leaking on the Jimny, decided to keep an eye on it, and it's stopped. Result!
