So my mate was fitting some new fencing a few miles from where we live and spotted a KJA looking abandoned in a pub car park, to cut a long story short I got the owners number, met up with him in my KJA saw his and bought it off him on the spot.
Its been sat since tax ran out in 2005 and times not been too kind to her. I think the previous owner always intended to get it back on the road but never got round to it. The gent was an engineer and tool maker by trade and at some point he's put a lot of time and effort into this old truck. Its got a full stainless exhaust, stainless side steps, bull bar, rear A-bar in the bed and a pair of stainless bumpers with custom spare wheel carrier built into the back bumper. Luckily being so well made and being stainless there in great condition.
The cab doesnt look too bad, the worst bits that i can see so far are the front scuttle under the screen and the bottoms of the A-pillars. Ive not had a better look round it yet though. Hopefully it should be getting recovered to my yard at the weekend.
Prior to it being parked up it had new doors, drivers wing and cill.
Ive been tonight to the gents house and picked up the spares he had with it, there was a set of alloys, a passenger side cill panel and front panel. He also had a new old stock pair of side panels for the rear bed, I couldnt believe it, after searching high and low for some of these for my KJA and having to make some from scratch there was a brand new pair sat in a garage less than 5 miles from my house!
These are the only photos i've got at the moment but hopefully ill have a load more on saturday when I get it to my place.
