Hi everyone as the above suggests the re-circ light was initially flashing constantly, now have done some research and cleaned the filler and made sure all the "flaps" move (I removed the screws that held each motor on and manually moved them) it flashes intermittently. I start the car up and the light on the fresh air intake is on then after awhile it changes to the re-circ light and starts flashing without me doing anything.
Does anyone know what I need to look at next to resolve the problem?

If it aint broke, dont fix it... It works properly? Leave it be. Only thing I can come up to is the pollen-filter needs to be cleared or changed...
Try to push and hold it for 10 seconds or so ad look if it still flashes.
