Hi all
Hi all
Bought a Suzuki Vitara QJLX.
It has the wideboy extras added to it.Including 10 inch wide wheels.265/50/15
Never driven anything like it before.
Was like stepping back into the old days. The steering shakes with the tyres.
I dont mind it,but the misses does not like it.
So now im on ebay ratching.
Its a head scratcher for me.
Daihatsu sportrak wheels fit.But there is all different sizes.
Suzuki vitara wheels all sizes.
What is the original size of the wheels on a 91 plate?
Will it look daft with original wheels on?
I have searched the forums but its all rocket science to me.

Re: Hi all
You want 5x139.7 wheels with a 108mm bore.
This means the wheels from any Suzuki 4x4 will fit except the very newest Vitaras and Grand Vitaras and the SX4 of any age. I can't guarantee you'll clear the calipers if you fit Jimny or SJ wheels though, I think they have different backspacing to Vitara wheels.
My advice would be to stick to normal Vitara wheels. I think they're 15" rims, 6" deep 6J - although they might be 5.5 like the SJ, I'm not sure. Oh, and you might have to swap the bodykit for a "normal" one though, as your arches might be too big as is.
Oh, and

Re: Hi all
That's a Fatboy - it has the wider, rounder arches and the 10" rims. What tyre pressures are you running? they should be around 23psi. The wheels may need balancing and the tyres look pretty old.
The stock rims are 5 1/2" and will look a bit silly on there, you could go for a 7" rim with a 215 tyre and fit some quality spacers.

Re: Hi all
I think both the wideboy and the fatboy were unofficial aftermarket conversions. I think. I've googled it a few times, but it's still fuzzy.
I think one of them came with an 8" rim, the other 10". I used to think they were the same thing, but now I'm 51% sure they're different kits.
I've read that they had a bit of an "interesting" ride even from new, because the tyres are just so unnaturally wide. They like to tramline etc.
If it's a symptom of the super wide wheels, could you fit a bigger steering damper to lessen the effects of the tyres? And as Rhinoman says, you might be able to fit 215's on 7" rims (I think Grand Vitaras came with those as standard, but don't quote me) and space them out - just don't use the cheap spacers!
