I wonder if anyone could help? I'll keep it short!

Sj410 E reg

Just competed an engine rebuild as the head had gone, May aswell as the block was out :)

Just test driven it and all is well except the (!) warning light comes on but only under load (when accelerating)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Ben

That should be the (hand?) brake light, I think. Check the fluid level and the wiring on the cap is ok

Thanks Robbie

I will check that, I know the hand brake (P) light works fine but your probably right, the (!) light could be fluid level

Many thanks

That's your brake fluid warning light. If it's coming on when you accelerate, it's probably something shorting somewhere.

It could be that you just need more brake fluid though... Stranger things have happened....

Mine leaks a little bit of brake fluid from the bottom of the reservoir where it connects to the servo... but only when you are doing something under the bonnet and put a bit of pressure on it.
When its (really) low the brake fluid warning comes on when I corner hard and the fluid sloshes to the side

Sound like the low brake fluid light,as you are accelerating the fluid could be just be low enough to trigger the alert light, but also i would have thought that heavy braking could also trigger the light as well.

But then again i talk a load of cr@p anyway so dont take what i say as gospel,no one else does :hahaha:

The brake fluid light should come on when the pads or shoes are worn - unless the fluid has been topped up.
