basic spring options

Post by djc » Sat Apr 18, 2015 5:30 pm

Has anyone any experience of the basic spring set from Jimny bits, around £200 a set? I was thinking try them and a new set of dampers. Most expensive options seem geared to getting lift which I don't want :S

I haven't. I wouldnt buy springs without a review from someone. There were some standard height springs last year that people had some issues with.

Usually ok stuff. Only place i can recommend is Llama 4x4. Can do springs in lifted or standard. Not the cheapest but good quality.

I just fitted a full set of these springs to my sj, they seem ok to me, the springs are genuine suzuki/maruti springs from India, they still had the Indian price stickers on them. Wish i could of got them at the Indian price though, works out to be about £11.50 a spring!

That'd be worth getting a group buy sorted if they're really *that* cheap! If we import enough sets, I'm sure a dealership would be willing to ship them.

thanks Steve, good to know someone has them, and genuine Maruti... I reckon that'll do me.
What dampers did you fit? Another confusing subject with a lot of choices. Jimny bits do Trial Master but I've seen comments here none too impressed with them.

I bought a pair of these Maruti springs for my 410 a few weeks back, they seem ok i've been off road with them and they seem to handle it fine. What a difference a new set of springs makes, the only downside for me is that the new rear springs has showed up how shot the front ones are too so thats another job to the list.

The standard springs from maruti here are €48... £33
Note sure how much shipping would be though
