Ordered a 1.3 samurai 1995 drive belt and its too short?

is there more than one type that it could be, the guys at the part store are being useless.

Yep. Had that before.

I believe the Spanish sjs use a slightly
Longer belt. I just went to my local
Shop and asked for the next size up.

maybe have to go back again and try and figure it out, i bought the engine so no idea what reg it was or anything may have to find out haha

No it's not that it uses a different size belt, it's that it's listed wrong I bought one from halfords and had the same issue, I think I posted here but can't seem to find the thread now,

The book listed belts fit a Japanese lump with the smaller
Alternator but the Spanish alt is slightly larger so the belts
Don't fit.

Oh, I just thought it was listed wrong, I thought alternators were the same between Spanish and Japanese? Just possibly different connectors, is it a different sized pully wheel then?

I believe the pulley is the same size but
The actual alt is larger so the centre
Point of the pulley is further away from
the mounting bracket. I only
Learnt this as I was doing two belts
on one jap and one spanish at the same time

So gave the reg in today at the parts place and they brought out the same length one and said its all that is showing up for the size,

looks like i need to order on line so does anyone have any ideas?
