There are lots of guides on the net about making your own out of plumbing bits.. Prob about 20 quid in total and a extra hour or 2 to fit it. That's my plan anyhow

If I was to make a snorkel I would want it to look nice....so I wouldn't use drainpipe, they always end up looking crap.
Mandrel bent exhaust sections welded together can make a nice looking snorkel.
£90 is cheap enough for a properly molded snokel and it will look loads better than a bit of drainpipe

Yeah lol drainpipe can look pretty shit... But can be OK if you don't have any of the ugly bend sections visible

another good alternative is to get one bent up by your exaust shop, using aluminium clad pipe, but once again, it will be more work than buying one, but if done right, looks really good, as it is one continuous piece of pipe.

I'd buy that...drainpipe looks sodding awful.

I have a Safari Snorkel, its around 13 years old now, no sign of any weakening due to UV and its been bounced off a few things without any damage, you have to look hard to see any scratches - apart from the hood, which can get ripped off (never happened to me) its very tough.

Made my own, cost around £25 to do all in. I hear people saying negative things about the K&N on the outside, I've never had a problem myself, but will probably change over to an inline filter and a proper top for it at some point.
I did it this way so there was no snorkel sticking out the side of the wing. It can't get broken very easily where it is.
