Mysterious missing fuse

Hi,

The engine management warning light came on on my Jimny the other day and I worked out that it was because I hadn't screwed the fuel cap on properly (cheers internet, I didn't know that could be a cause, I wonder how many people have been charged £30 for some mechanic to tighten up their fuel cap??) then I disconnected the battery for a while to reset the computer thing. I noticed that there was a secondary wire coming from the posi terminal that had an inline fuse holder just off it but with no fuse in it. I'm guessing it's there for a reason for the wire. Everything seems to be working fine. Anyone got any idea what it's for?

Cheers.

If it doesn't seem original, then it sounds like it could be some after market electrical item that's been wired in. Spot lights, air horn etc....

I'm with Ladaman, sounds like someone has added something in the past, if you can get a photo up and we can verify.

I think that's only applicable in the US, EU models don't usually have a fuel tank pressure sensor. What year is your Jimny?
