Hi has anyone tried fitting standard lj80 wheels with 600 x 16 tyres to a jimny if so does the body / springs need altering or can it stay standard without the tyres rubbing the body.
thanks chris

narrow tyres find grip in deep mud better than wide tyre as they dig in and find grip were wide tyres will build up mud in front of tyre and not dig in to find grip I hope you understand what I mean. thanks chris

Problem with narrow tyres is if the mud is slightly too deep, and you sink in it up to your axles
Personally I think the wider the better, as it helps to "float" a little bit on the mud, and more surface area gives more traction

Hi I see what you mean they act like a flotation tyres on a quad bike sitting on the top surface of the ground and not digging in and gripping.

I agree with Twiss, and zooks are light little things too, fatter the better. (tyres, not chicks)

6 of one half a dozen of the other.
Been in a few situations where my narrower tyres were beating the people on wide ones. Now I'm on 12.5" wide I've had a few situations where I've been beaten by people on narrower tyres but then also my fair share of floating over stuff too.
