Beam light always on

Hi,
When my lights are on the full beam light on the dash is lit up, but when I switch to full beam it goes off, basically its the wrong way around, any one have a clue why?

Change the wires over on the bulb?

this may sound stupid but are you sure the full beam lamp hasnt blown and what youre looking at is the dipped beam lamp (green). when you switch to full beam the symbol next to it lights up (blue) and the green dipped goes out.

atleast thats the way i think it works on mine.
